5 DIY Beauty Hacks Every Girl Should Know

1. Colour your entire lid with white eyeliner to make eyeshadow colours POP.

2. Learn how to set your lipstick so it lasts.

After you have applied your lipstick, hold a tissue over your lips and lightly dust translucent powder over the tissue.

3. Add a drop of peppermint oil to your favourite lip gloss to plump up those lips instead of spending a fortune on lip plumbers.

4. Use shimmer eyeshadow in the corner or your eyes. This one easy step will make your eyes brighter and more noticeable.

5. Forget eyeshadow instead, cross pencil eyeliner onto your lids and blend for long-lasting, budge-proof coverage.

Finally Out of the Shadows

So after spending my entire life waiting to be given the cold shoulder or for the hate comments on my instagram to start i have finally decided that I'm not going to live like that anymore. What kind of an example am i to my children if i let everyone else in the world define who i am and what i can achieve. I am an incredibly sensitive person so I had to make a choice that was best for me. Not reading that unnecessary hate made me realise that what those random people are saying  has NO IMPORTANCE.  If the person they are talking about doesn't hear them… then what they are saying is just going into the universe…. NOT the place they want it most… in my head.
When I read this quote everything clicked into place.
MY CHOICES ARE EXACTLY THAT..... MINE.  I can do whatever i want to do with my life. Be who i want to be without feeling the need to explain myself and my decisions to anyone other than myself. My mistakes are my own and no one else's. It's not always better to be right but to learn from being wrong is what really pushes you to be your best.
NO ONE else can make my life better or worse unless I let them have that control. Sometimes its good to let someone else take the wheel for a bit but only for a short time, are lives are our own and we hold the wheel of fortune in our hands, its up to us to decide what we do with it.

I will do what i think is best for my kids, my husband, my family and ME.
From now on i will no longer live in the shadows of other peoples doubt but in the sunshine of my own existence.
A new beginning.....

Spring Beauty

It may feel cold outside but spring is creeping up on us.  Before you know it, flowers are blooming and your makeup bag will be in serious need of an upgrade. But what should you toss or keep when changing things up in between seasons?

It’s actually quite simple.

Winter air is dry and unforgiving calling for heavy duty moisturizers to help retain moisture. Going into the spring season feel free to lighten up the moisturizer.  SPF is a must regardless of season but make sure your spring/summer moisturiser is light as to not clog your pores with the more humid weather and oilier skin.

Tinted moisturizers are your best friend around spring.  They are light, provide nice coverage and give the skin natural radiance.  Opt for a cream blush in the spring to have a more “flushed and natural” look.

Hotter weather also calls for waterproofing some of your makeup staples like mascara (especially on the hotter days!) and using a primer that will control oil to help makeup stay on longer… Because we want to look like we just applied our makeup after 8 hours, no?

As we crawl into spring don’t be afraid to pack on the bronzer.  Remember we want to protect our skin from the sun no matter how tempting tanning may become.  Bronzer helps give your skin that sun kissed quality we all crave without having to worry about sun spots, and wrinkles caused by baking in the sun.

Another great way to transition your makeup from winter to spring is to lighten up the colour palette.  A burgundy lip is soooo fun but can seem dark and harsh on a beautiful spring day. Play with bright reds, soft pinks and nude lips for a softer more radiant spring look. Lip tints are also a great way to get colour and staying power on your lips.

So, who’s ready for spring? We sure are!

Beauty In The New Year

Getting Back On Track After The Holiday's

The festive season is one of the laziest times of the year. Millions of people all over the world spend their time eating, sleeping and relaxing as they wait for the new year. It is a great time of year. But then comes the new year and you realise that you have not been taking care of your body as much as you should have. You let yourself loose. So now you have to get back in shape, lose a few pounds and get your sexy back on. But where do you start?
Hair
The best place to start is from the top. Your hair speaks a lot about you and in the same way, it influences a whole lot in you. Get yourself a hairdo that embodies confidence. A great hair style is one step closer to sexy you.
Diet
Very sensitive topic to very many individuals. A  healthy diet is not only beneficial for weight loss, it is also good for your health. Your direct route to getting healthy, smooth, non-cracked, soft, supple skin is by adopting a healthy lifestyle  Your diet is as beneficial as your skin care products, and even with the best skin care products in the world if you don't have a healthy diet, you will still experience problems with your skin. The truth of the matter is that, you have to diet in some form if you want to shed off that holiday weight faster. Get yourself on or back on a healthily diet plan. Stop all the non-selective eating habits we all have over the festive months and you will be back to the pre-holiday you in no time.
Exercise
Exercise is another great way to get your beauty boat rocking. Exercise helps regulate your hormones and reduce stress which is bad for your body, for instance it speeds up ageing.
Hit the gym when you can. Go for a run if possible. Work out and you are guaranteed to get back to your sexy self in no time. Of course, coupling a healthy diet with exercise will get you there faster.
Clothing
There are trends that were in the previous year that will make you look out of place in this upcoming new season. You have to observe your clothing. Get online and learn about what is on and what is off. Get comfortable wearing new and fresh trends. If your fashion sense is on point, so is your beauty.
Confidence
A lot of people feel embarrassed about gaining weight over the holidays which might affect their esteem and performance. The truth of the matter is, almost everyone gains a few pounds over the holidays. Being confident is as much a beauty statement as looking good. So do not feel embarrassed about looking a little different this year, nothing is permanent. So be as confident as ever, especially around people who love to be judgemental. Make confidence your tagline this year. If you have it, flaunt it, do not be embarrassed by anything because you are as beautiful this year as you were last year.
Drinks lots of water

Water has a whole lot of beneficial functions to the body ranging from metabolism to hydration to excretion and more. Make it a resolution, if you have to, to drink as much water as is recommended. In a few weeks, your body will thank you for it.

Nivea Eye Make-up Remover Review

I Hope you're all having a wonderful start to the New Year!

I've been using this product regularly recently and i love it!  I can't recommend it enough! For me it's removes every bit of eye make-up even the most difficult of waterproof mascara's.

This is a 'Double Effect' eye make-up remover.  So basically its the blue and the clear affect.
The blue colour  is the oil that removes the make-up.
The clear is the 'aqueous phase'. which means it protects the lashes and the surrounding skin.

This product is Dermatologically and Ophthalmologically approved, so, no sore, stingy eyes!

This product is really great, you can use it all over your face also not just on your eye make-up.

So, would I reccommend the NIVEA Double Effect Eye Make-up Remover? Absolutely!

You can get this fab product in most pharmacies including Boots.
It's so cheap for such an effective product!

At only £3.89 currently on sale for £1.94 in Boots it's hard to go wrong!
You can get it here.

Little Goals for 2016

2015 was a difficult and stressful year for us. I'm hoping with everything i have in me that 2016 will be better and brighter. But some of the positives of the year was our vacation in the summer, Mollie's school prom, my breast surgery and just having another year together as a family.

Here are a few little things I'd like to stick to though out 2016.

1. Continue are date nights once a month just the two of us.
2. Be happy and healthy as much as we can.
3. Try not to stress over the little things so much.
4. Open up another savings bank account and save for a house deposit.
5. Just make sure to enjoy each other.

It's just a few simple things but things we have decided to focus on more in 2016.

Whats yours ?

Kids Hard or Easy ??

I get asked this question almost every time I'm out for the day with my kid's somewhere no-one knows us  & regularly get messages on Facebook and instagram so I thought i might as well just  write about it as best i can for you.  I  find it so much easier to just write what i need to say rather than say it out loud sometimes.

So, Is having 6 kids easier or harder than I thought it would be…. hmmmm.  Let me take a minute to think about that one again.
It's a little bit of BOTH.  As a lot of you know, I was an only child so i kinda always knew that if i had a baby i would have to have at least 2 if i were able to that is. I was always loney as a kid and i have always been head strong on not having an only child myself. I always thought that i kinda drew the short straw on that one and didn't want my kid to feel the same way i did. Don't get me wrong there's absolutely nothing wrong with being or having an only child i just wasn't happy. All my cousins and friends has sibling to hang out with and i felt kinda left out of the loop so to speak.  I knew I always wanted kids.. but I was never around kids all that much only at school, and when my cousins came over so I didn't really know what having a house full of kids was going to be like at all. I never even babysat alone until i was pregnant with my eldest. When I got pregnant with Mollie… I was terrified.  I remember when i saw the positive test, I cried… I looked at my mum and broke down in floods of tears. I was TERRIFIED!!  I had NO IDEA what to expect… I only knew that from that moment on my life was going to be very different than i had planned at that age. I was 19… and I didn't exactly realise just how different at first.
To be completely honest i was lucky i had a supportive family around me, which helped amazingly. I don't mean they helped with looking after Mollie but knowing we had a circle of support around us we could turn to made everything so much easier. I thought I'd loose more sleep but like i said she was a good girl and thankfully she slept through from 7 weeks... I know a blessing right? If only my other babies had been so thoughtful.. Lol. I didn't realise how worried you could be…  I had a big lifestyle change over the course of 7 years, we went from no kids to 7 kids, some have said overnight... No more free time to do what we wanted anytime we wanted to do it.  The complete change in types of decisions that i now had to make went from which club should we try out tonight to when I should ween her onto solids… Should I take her to the doctors with a slight cough or am i over reacting, should I let her cry it out, should I give her Calpol or not. Am i good enough for this job? All that stuff was so new and different… and that's what made it hard.
BUT……
When I had Mollie and then my following 5 babies I realised how the moment they were each born i just instinctively knew EVERYTHING i needed to know in that moment and the rest i would learn along with them as the years passed. It all came to me out of instinct.  I can read and understand my kids better than ANYONE.

To be perfectly honest having the 6 is no-more harder than having 3-4. Not for us anyway, after having our first 3 it really did get easier...Whats another 3 right? Lol. Expense wise its ridiculously expensive but having kids always is right ?

How did you feel when you first had your kids ? Was it easier or harder than you had expected it to be?
